In 2008, Valve updated the PC version to include a server variable that allows up to 32 players. The player limit is 16 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Sure its old, and its graphics might be outdated, but its still fun. Team Fortress 2 is not dead! It’s glory days might be over, but it still has the largest player base out of every game on Steam. The game is not at all popular on Twitch, though. The TF 2 player count is close to 150,000 in Q1 2021. Team Fortress 2 is still at the top of the Steam Charts for most played games in 2021.
